Drilling tiles in the rental apartment: what is allowed?
The law is clear when it comes to drilling holes in the landlord's property. As long as there are sufficient towel rails, shower rods, toilet paper holders and mirrors in the bathroom, it is forbidden to drill any more holes. In particular, it is not allowed to drill into tiles at all. Now if you want to attach a roll holder, better play it safe and attach it without drilling!

Without drilling: Simply use glue!
Place & glue on adapter
Clean the surface and remove the protective film from the adhesive ring on the back. Place the adapter on the wall and fill the adapter with adhesive.
Simply attach
The adhesive should harden for 12 hours. You can then simply attach your bathroom design to the adapter.
Easy to remove
First unscrew the bath design from the adapter. Now grip the adapter ring with a pipe wrench and simply twist it carefully clockwise from the wall.
Remove adhesive residue without effort
If adhesive residue sticks to the surface, you can gently scrape it off with a thin spatula or scraper.
The right cleaning agent
Do not clean the substrate with the usual bath cleaning agents but use cleaning alcohol for this purpose.
To attach your roll holder to the wall
It is important that you take into account twelve hours of curing time. That's why we recommend starting the installation in the evening and continuing the next morning. In addition, each package of the tesa® Power.Kit Technology Series contains richly illustrated instructions.
- Select the location where you want to attach your mount.
- For the tesa® adhesive to stick to the tile, the surface must be free of dust, grease, lime, and other residues. Use a clean, soft cloth for basic cleaning. Please do not use any non-stick cleaning agents or cleaners containing silicone, as these substances impair the adhesive effect. After basic cleaning, clean with rubbing alcohol. If a cleaning cloth is included with your accessory, please use it.
- Remove the adapter ring from the package and remove the foil from the adhesive surface on the back.
- Place the adapter ring in the desired location and press it firmly against the tile.
- Now everything is ready and the tesa® Power.Kit technology can be used.
- Open the applicator with the corresponding key and insert the opening into the larger hole in the adapter ring.
- Using the key, press adhesive into the adapter until some adhesive comes out on the smaller opening of the adapter.
- Now the back of the adapter is completely filled with adhesive and creates a secure bond with the tile surface.
- At this point, you will need patience. The adhesive needs to cure for twelve hours. Do not touch the adapter during this time and definitely do not check the strength.
- After the waiting time, simply place your roller holder on the adapter and tighten the screw with an Allen key.
From now on, your replacement roll holder is ready for use and fully loadable. Should you want to reposition it at some point, you can remove the adhesive again without leaving any residue. Or you can use the adapter elsewhere with our bathroom accessories for gluing.

Enamel Varnish
The varnish might not be stable enough to keep stuck on the wall once our glue is applied.
Plastic: PE, PTFE & PP
The combination between thetesa®Powerstrip and polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) will not form a stable compound and won´t hold.
Wallpaper
The adhesive will stick to your wallpaper until the bitter end. Unfortunately, it might separate from the wall during adhering.
Plaster
Thetesa® Powerstrips securely latches onto loose plaster. Our technology is stronger than the surface and might tear it off the wall.
